A luxurious three storey house on the 10th floor of the "Fairway Residencies" Apartment Complex in Buthgamuwa, Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte is being renovated in a hurry these days.

It has been reported that its Opposition leader, Sajith Premadasa’s waife Jalani Premadasa and her mother who are supervising and instructing the renovation of this luxurious three storey house bought for Rs. 350 millions.  

Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Sajith Premadasa also has visited the house and given instructions over the renovation work being carried out on the house worth Rs. 350 million.

The internal sources of the Fairway Residencies Apartment Complex had revealed to “lankanewsweek that Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and Jalani Premadasa would soon be moving into the luxury three-storey house.

Meanwhile, it is reported that a luxury house in Colombo 'The Elements' is owned by Dr. Harsha De Silva, the Colombo District Parliamentarian of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, and a luxury house in the 'Altair' Housing Complex in Colombo is owned by the party MP Harin Fernando.

Political Analysts question as to how Members of Parliament can purchase houses worth millions from the monthly all inclusive salary of Rs. 200,000.00.
